What is Consignment Corner?

Let the Harbolt Company help you sell your expensive electronics with no stress and worry. If you have an item you are selling for at least $300, simply fill out the form below and let us advertise it on our web site and to our newsletter list of over 850 subscribers and counting! We will facilitate the sale from beginning to end and make sure that all parties are completely satisfied before any money is released.

 

How it works.

Submit your item that you would like to sell. (Please submit one item per entry form)

When submitting your item for sale, please be as specific and descriptive as possible. Lots of information helps sell products, so the more information you can list about your item, the better. Make sure you include the brand, model, and model number if applicable. Be as specific as you can about the condition of the item. Mention any wear, breaks, cracks, physical or internal issues in your description. The buyer needs to know exactly what they are purchasing! If you neglect to mention these things and the buyer receives the item not as described, they could request a return. Also, include what accessories come with the item for sale. (Cables, cases, etc.) Finally, include the price of the item in the description plus shipping costs. Do not include your name or contact info in the description of the item. All submissions will be reviewed and this information will be removed. Once we receive your submission, we will review it and if it passes our guidelines, we will list the item for sale on our web site under the Consignment Corner page. If the buyer has additional questions about the item, or items, we will forward them to the seller to get answered. We will then communicate this back to the buyer. That is why it is very important to be as specific and detailed as possible when describing your items for sale.

 

When the item on the web site has been sold, you will be notified and given the name and address of where to ship the item. Once shipped, we require you to email or text us the tracking number that we can pass on to the buyer as well as track it ourselves. Once the item arrives to the buyer, they will have 48 hours to let us know if there is any kind of problem with the item. The 48 hour deadline begins from the date and time stamp from the shipping carrier. For example, if it shows that USPS delivered the item on June 18 at 3:45 PM, then the buyer has until June 20 at 3:45 PM to report any problems. If they do not report any issues after 48 hours, the funds will be released to the seller via Paypal or Apple Pay. If the buyer reports any issues within 48 hours of receiving the item, the seller will be contacted and we will work together to come up with a fair solution. This might be a partial refund or if no agreement can be worked out, the buyer will be required to send the item back to the seller for a refund. All money is handled by us and therefore, no money is released until we verify that both parties are satisfied.

 

What do we charge for this service?

Our fees are a flat 14 percent of the selling price of the item. That’s 10 percent for us and 4 percent to cover credit card fees. We charge nothing else for listing your item, or items, on the site or advertising it to our customer base. We will send out Consignment Corner items to our newsletter and advertise at least once per month. This also includes mentioning the items on the Buy and Sell Zoom group and advertising also to our text message newsletter list.

Our fees will be removed at the time of us releasing the funds to the seller. For example, if you have $300 coming to you, after removing our 14 percent fee, you will receive $258.

 

What are the benefits of this service?

 

Potential buyers can feel safe in buying such expensive equipment because they are having us facilitate everything and they know that they are protected. We have been in usiness now for 7 years and this gives credibility with us and our customer base.

Potential buyers can purchase these items with a credit card and do not have to use Paypal or Apple Pay when buying and thus opens it up for more people to purchase such expensive items.

No funds are released until both the buyer and the seller are satisfied with the outcome. The Harbolt Company acts as an escrow service where we oversee the transaction between two parties.

The seller has the benefit of our 7 years of experience and our newsletter list which consists of over 850 subscribers.

 

What else you should know.

We will not sell any items that directly compete with us and what is currently being sold on our web site.

All sales are final once the buyer reaches the 48 hour deadline without reporting any problems to us.

It is the responsibility of the seller to accurately and thoroughly represent the item or items they are selling. Failure to do so will impede the process of the sale and cause a delay on receiving their funds and cause a possible return of their items.

Returns for any reason other than an item being defective or misrepresented are not allowed!

The Harbolt Company is no way responsible for any problems with shipping or descriptions and representations of the items that are being sold on the Consignment Corner page of the web site. We are simply a third party helping to facilitate the buying and selling of secondary market items.

We will help to mediate any problems that arise between buyer and seller.
