In the 80s the boombox craze was in full affect. Everyone would be seen carrying their awesome boomboxes. In school, we competed to see who could get the loudest boombox. I had one that you could detach the speakers and move them around the room. Of course, all our boom boxes had cassette players, and if you were really lucky, you had a dual cassette player. Mine even had a 7 band equalizer on it. If you don't know what a boom box is, simply put, it is a music station with a handle. Well, those boom boxes of the 80s are long gone but now, the boom boxes are much more modern and quite a bit smaller than the ones from my era. Of course, the newer ones are more decked out with all the new technology.
